Using a School Purchase
Order for Payment
It's easy to shop our online catalog and use a School Purchase Order
for payment. Simply reference your purchase order number when checking
out and follow our Purchase Order Policies.
Purchase Order Policies
Any online purchase that uses a P.O. for payment must have the Shipping
and Billing address of a school.
A copy of the Purchase Order is REQUIRED for:
- First Time Purchases
- Purchases over $500
- Site Licenses
- Network Versions
- Hardware
- Previews
- Academic Versions

- For existing customers with the purchase of less than $500
Our Customer Service staff may call to confirm your order.
For personal orders, we accept checks, money orders, or all major credit
cards on purchases over $25.

What documentation is needed to receive Academic Discounts?
Academic Proof can be a Student/Teacher ID, current Student Schedule,
or a current pay stub from a school district (any pay info can be deleted).

No order will be shipped until a valid academic ID is received. You can
place your order at anytime. We will place your order on "hold" until
we receive your valid academic ID. Upon receipt of your academic ID, we
will ship out your order.
What types of products are available for Academic Discounts?
Academic pricing refers to full-featured products available for purchase
only by accredited K-12 and higher education institutions, faculty, and
students in the United States. These programs are generally the same as
the retail version with a notice that they are for academic use only.
Our web site displays "ACD" in the version notes of all Academic
Discounted products.
Guidelines for eligibility vary by publisher so please feel free to check
with us before ordering if you have questions about purchasing a specific
product.

PREVIEW POLICY
We welcome preview requests! However, schools requiring previews must
order them on a school PO marked "preview," with the following conditions:
Only schools within the continental US qualify for previews.
MAC and Windows software are eligible for preview. This does not include
laserdiscs. Home and school versions only will be shipped for preview.
No lab packs, network or site licenses or products sealed in a license
agreement envelope will be sent for preview.
Limited to five home version titles up to a value of $300 or less.
Both outbound and Return freight and handling are the responsibility
of the customer on previews.
Returns must be made within 30 days. All merchandise must be Returned
in 100% re-sellable condition.

PAYMENT TERMS
Payment terms are net 30 days for school purchase orders. Personal orders
must be accompanied by a check, money order, or we accept all major credit
cards on purchases over $25. Finance charges of 1.5% per month will be
assessed on past due balances. Payments should be made in US funds. Orders
outside the US and Canada must be prepaid.

Standard shipping is via FEDEX ground or UPS. All shipping locations
must have a street address (we can not ship to a PO Box.) Second day or
next day air delivery is available for an additional charge. Please call
for details.
If you send payment or purchase order, and your order can not be shipped
within 30 days of order date, we will notify you of your options to allow
more time, accept a substitute, or cancel. If we cannot obtain consent
to delay shipment of substitution, the order and any billing will be cancelled
or refund made.
Handling: $5.00 handling charge will
be assessed per order.

SALES TAX
Please add applicable sales tax in the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL,
GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, NC, NY, OH, OK, PA, and TX.
NOTE: Sales tax will be charged on all orders without a valid exemption
certificate on file.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations of hardware and furniture items made after receipt or in
transit will result in the customer paying all Return freight charges
and a 20% restocking fee. Cancellations must occur prior to the product
shipping to avoid such costs. Any outstanding backorders on either school
or personal orders, due to periodic manufacturer delays in shipping, will
be automatically canceled after 60 days of your original order date, unless
you indicate otherwise.

Return POLICY
One-Year Money Back Guarantee

- If you receive a product that is defective, call our Customer Service
Department to receive a Return Authorization (RA) number. You will receive
either a replacement product or credit to your account. A copy of your
invoice or packing slip must be included with your Return.
- Clearly mark the RA number on the outside of the box. Please send
your Return product back via UPS, RPS or U.S. Mail, prepaid and insured.
- Please be advised that the following products are not Returnable unless
defective, in which case they will be replaced for the same product
only: special orders, hardware, furniture, carts, network versions,
site licenses and products contained in a license agreement envelope
that has been opened. Educational Resources reserves the right to charge
a restocking fee under certain circumstances.
- All Returns must be in 100% re-sellable condition.
